Etan and Noemi are friendly and easy going, very accommodating. Its a Beautiful location right next to the endowment lands of UBC that you can walk or bike through to get to the beaches. A nice place that is quiet and peaceful.

I really enjoyed my stay at Etan's place on West 31st Avenue. The hosts were very helpful and kind. The place was furnished with everything I needed, including cooking utensils which was a pleasant surprise. The neighborhood is very beautiful and only a 30 minute walk to Wesbrook village, where I often worked, through the beautiful endowment grounds (or a 20 minute bike ride to the main campus.) I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a gem of a place! Located in a quite residential area of Dunbar on W31st Avenue, it has everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. Plenty of shopping and entertainment within 10-15 minutes walking distance makes it an ideal choice. The Pacific Spirit Park is just a few minutes away and absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I have recently moved to Vancouver. We decided to stay here for the entire month of November 2021, while looking for a long term rental. Etan and Noemi are the most gracious and helpful landlords we have ever met and they made our stay an absolute pleasure. We high recommend their suite!!!

The owner is very friendly and attended any of our concerns we had, which included buying a new TV. The suite was very clean and having it cleaned every two weeks was a great feature. There also are many parks in the area and with having Pacific Spirit next door is very handy. We stayed for two months and really enjoyed our stay. There is plenty of shopping on Dunbar. We would recommend this suite.

I stayed there for 2 months while working in Vancouver. The owners are very friendly and helpful! You can expect a fast reply whenever you need something. I totally recommend it!

We have stayed in this basement from June 27th 2018 to June 19th 2019. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The communication is very effective. As the basement is fully furnished, it is of great help for newcomers (like ourselves) and people who are staying in Vancouver for a short period of time. The Pacific Spirit Park is beautiful and great for walks. Dunbar Community Center is close to the house, and great for enjoying sunny days and taking some fitness classes. Bus stops, market, public library and movie theatre are available on a 15 - 20 minutes walking distance. The neighborhood is very calm, and the basement is pretty bright. The bi-weekly cleaning is of great help.

I lived here from August 2016 until April 2018 while I was studying for my Masters at UBC. The suite has absolutely everything anybody would need and the owners are extremely accommodating. Whenever there was an issue or request they were very prompt at addressing it. The neighborhood is quiet and the suite is a short walk to the main street where there are grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. The suite is also a 2 minute (or less) walk from the Pacific Spirit park, which makes for a very nice bike ride or run to UBC in the summer. I can honestly say, my time in Vancouver and Canada was entirely positive because of my stay in this suite. The owners made sure I had everything I needed and provided a comfortable place to stay such that I could focus on my studies. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Vancouver for any amount of time.

Although I never stayed there, I had to cancel my rental from May-July. He responded quickly and gave me my deposit back within one day. I would like to recommend his place because his communication with renters is fast and efficient.

I rented this suite for 5 weeks while looking for a long-term flat after moving to Canada. I'm really happy with my choice and would recommend this place to others. The owners are fantastic: very helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help. No problems with the flat - it was clean, everything worked, the internet was fine (I work from home and had no issues with it) and it's very well set up with almost everything you could think of. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe, there is a bus to downtown a 10 minute walk away, and shops not too far away. And it's in a gorgeous spot right next to Pacific Spirit park, with beautiful running and walking trails. Excellent.

I stayed here for 1 1/2 months while working in Vancouver. The place was perfect for me and would be great for a single person or a couple. The suite is clean, quiet and well equipped. The only items I needed to purchase was food. The owners are personable and look after the property well, anything that needed to be repaired was handled quickly. The location is very convenient and close to Dunbar Ave. where there is shopping and great transit. My job requires long hours, leaving and getting home at unusual times. I never felt uncomfortable either in the neighbourhood or with the owners and couldn't have been more comfortable other than in my own house. I would be happy to stay there again if I am back in Vancouver.

My fiance and I rented this basement suite for the months of June and July. I chose this place because it was near UBC. It takes around 30 minutes to get to my work place at UBC by transit and around 15 minutes to get to a bus stop or the main street. When I was contacting them over email and phone, they were really helpful and kind. When I asked them for some extra things, they were happy to let us borrow them. They were also accommodating. When there were problems, they do their best to help. The suite is kept up well, clean, and well furnished. We were there for Canada Day, so there was a block party that we were also invited to. The neighbors were really welcoming and we had a great time. I would definitely recommend staying at the suite.

I am renting this basement suite for 5 months (January to May 2015), while being on sabbatical at UBC. I have now been here for three months and I am very happy having rented it. It is clean and quiet and the kitchen is well equipped. It is very well located (4 blocks West from Dunbar with supermarket, pharmacy, post-office, cafes, cinema, bus route, etc. nearby). Parking on the street at any time of the day or night is not a problem. It is a few houses away from the entrance to the beautiful Pacific Spirit Park, so it is excellent for biking or walking strolls. In fact, I used my bike to commute every day to UBC through those woods. The neighborhood is exceedingly quiet and safe. Foremost, I have felt very welcome here. The owners are friendly and are very attentive to any issue that may arise with the suite (such as giving plenty of notice should a plumber having to come for maintenance or the cleaning lady coming every two weeks, problems with the Wi-Fi, etc.). I would most definitely consider renting it again if coming back to Vancouver for an extended period of time. It is perfect for a single individual coming for a short term sabbatical at UBC, or for a couple seeking a base to explore the greater Vancouver for one or two months.

We have really enjoyed our time so far in this basement suite. The suite is very comfortable and private with a well equipped kitchen and reliable internet. The owners are very friendly, helpful and welcoming, and the neighbourhood is beautiful and clean. This suite is very close to Pacific Spirit Regional Park which is a lovely place to stroll or hike, and it is also close to busses to UBC and downtown. There is also a grocery store, pharmacy and cinema within a 10 minute walk (on Dunbar St). We are delighted with the location and the comfort of this property.

I stayed for three months. The owners went out of their way to help me as a new arrival in the country. I enjoyed my stay, any problems I.e. Wifi not working was dealt with immediately. The unit was clean at the time and well maintained by the cleaners. It is also very convienient for public transport. In my book offers excellent value in a great area.

This is a gorgeous, quiet garden suite situated in a beautiful neighbourhood. The suite has every amenity one needs, and the owner, who is very friendly and accommodating, will quickly fix anything that needs repairing. When we arrived the suite was spotlessly clean. The suite is very close to the magnificent Pacific Spirit forest, and within easy walking distance to public transit, and a shopping district. There is plenty of street parking available at all hours. We spent most of summer 2014 in this suite and can attest to the superb quality of the suite and its location.
